A cry of happiness spreads like a wave, surging through the hearts of students and warming even the coldest blood...

Yay! My examinations are over! Anyway, I have decided to start witht the reviews starting from Monday next week. Our very first software review will be Ad-Aware, possibly one of the best adware and spyware detection programme.

Also, I just added Huiyao's link to his blog. Congratulations Huiyao, you finally set up a blog - laughs. Ivan's link has also been there for quite some time, if there is time, you could take a look at it.

That's all so tchao!

Well well, not blogs in almost two weeks and suddenly two blogs within one. Recent events concerning blogging has aroused my interest to post it here. In Singapore, two bloggers were recently brought to court and subsequently jailed for committing an offence under the Sedition Act, one law that has not been broken for nearly forty years.

A brief history of blogging will follow. A blog was first known as web log or "weblog" but later, the name was misintepreted by someone to be "we blog" instead or "web log". Thus, by chance, the new word "blog" was formed. Blogging became popular in the 21st century as teenagers, adults and even retirees took on the blog as a new form of communication that was free and easy. Immediately, blogs' hosting websites sprang up - Blogger.com, x-diary etc. Blogging also meant that you could express your dissent and reveal your feelings on a certain topic anonymously.

The arrest of the two bloggers in Singapore was mainly for committing an offence under the Sedition Act, which is considered to be quite important, since Singapore hosts a wide diversity of races and religions and promotes religious tolerance. According to the news reports and investigations, the argument apparently started from a Muslim passing of a comment on the Strait's Times "Forum" section about pets being allowed in cabs. A blogger (let's call him blogger A) then posted horrible comments on a certain website on this incident, causing another blogger (blogger B) to post even worse comments on his personal blog. Shortly, they were both arrested - well, I can't say that they didn't deserve it right?

However, I feel that the Muslim may not have known about pet taxis which are less commonly seen yet some taxi companies do offer this service. Also, being a worker at a dog kennel, blogger B probably blogged without thinking and on impulse. Still, I feel that blogger B deserved his one month's stay in jail.

Probably, this would serve as a warning to other racist bloggers on the Internet. Now, we all need to be consious and think before we blog - *haiz* tiresome.

The stars in the sky twinkle as the power of Science engulfs the world... What relation there might be I really have no idea...

*Yawns* Well! It's been quite a while since I have updated my blog. First of all, I would like to address a few things briefly in this post.

I took a look at other people's blog, some which of whom are of my friends and those of which of whom are people I may never make an acquaintance with, and my insipration for this idea to incorporate it into my blog made its way into my brain. Starting from after the examinations, I shall post a weekly technological cum worldly affairs cum games update at different times. Basically, this notion is also credited to Fatboytt and also a little to Straits Times. Begin expecting the first one on 26/10/2005! Of course, these topics are not the only ones....

I have also contemplated a new idea - the notion to move my blog to my personal webpage on my school website. Maybe I should do that but weighing the pros and cons, I decide against it. Why? I seriously hate to move my blog all the time - considering I just moved it like a few months back. Anyway, it's an idea worth keeping for next time.

I have also decided to try to refurnish my blog with more updated links and more toolbars - guess I'll have to take a look at some of the beautiful and exquisite blog skins some of my friends have posted, maybe even some posted by them with their nicknames on popular websites such as blogskins.com

Lastly, I would like to explore the wonders of Science this year end so therefore in addition to the current addition of news updates and recommendations + guides and reflections, I will post a blog or two every week to explore Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

With these confirmed or future updates, please come visit my blog!
